Answer for How does ProfileManager handle very large organizations with regards to the PUF file?
There should not be an issue with ProfileManger parsing a PUF of 10,000 users.
When ProfileManger runs, it opens the entire file into local memory before parsing the file and searching for a match.
The only concern to have is if this file will be across a long-distance WAN connection. There may be an initial delay before it can start parsing the file due to network latency.
If the network connection is very small (less than 1mbps), then it could take several seconds for ProfileManager to “download” the file into memory.
We have seen customers use this file for over 10,000 user installations.
However, if there is concern, one could break up the file either manually, or by choosing a different file and config in the migration wizard. Some customers have had multiple copies of ProfileManager data in different folder for different purposes. The doc for ProfileManager explains this setup in detail: http://download.priasoft.com/docs/profilemanager.pdf.
